Geekfitters wants to make the world a little better. Here's how we're doing it:
Sweatshop Free Shirts
In addition to using the highest quality shirts, we also make sure that our apparel is made under fair working conditions. That means: NO SWEATSHOPS. Our primary t-shirt supplier, Alstyle, obeys all laws and regulations in the countries where its shirts are manufactured. They even allow for UNANNOUNCED VISITS from their corporate clients.
Why not American Apparel?
We don't use American Apparel for a few reasons.
1. Clothing does not need to be made in America in order to be sweatshop free. In fact, there are sweatshops in America.
2. Clothing made outside of America isn't necessarily made in sweatshops. Most countries have strict labor laws and regulations which, if obeyed, prevent sweatshop conditions.
3. Buying clothes made outside the U. S. provides jobs for poorer people in underdeveloped nations.
4. American Apparel shamelessly objectifies women in many of their ad campaigns. Geekfitters doesn't support that.
Charity
Geekfitters donates 10% of net profits to charity.
